River City Bicycle Classic

The River City Bicycle Classic returns to Evansville, Indiana on Saturday, June 8, 2013 even bigger and better with a $7,000 purse!

The River City Bicycle Classic takes cyclists through historic Garvin Park with beautiful, wide sweeping turns.

Course: This road criterium racecourse is a fast .7-mile loop around the lake in historic Garvin Park. The wide-open course features several turns that are ideal for racing and spectating. Course is closed to trafﬁc. Start and ﬁnish is west of the park fountain.

In addition to the races, the River City Bicycle Classic will include:

Festival (begins @ 10AM) with food, sponsor and business vendor tents. A kid’s bike rodeo will be held in conjunction with the Evansville Bicycle Club. There will also be live music.
Celebrity Race of local celebrities (begins @ 1:10PM)
Evansville’s local micro-brewery, Tin Man Brewery, will host a Beer Garden (begins @ 12PM).

A portion of the race proceeds will beneﬁt the Boys & Girls Club of Evansville. Donations may be made directly to the Boys & Girls Club of Evansville.

Directions: From I64 take Exit 25 traveling south on US 41. Drive 11.8 miles, take the ramp to IN-66 W/Diamond Ave. Turn right onto east Diamond Ave. Drive 1.2 miles, turn left onto north Heidelbach Ave. Drive .3miles. Parking is next to the baseball stadium on the right.
